Welcome to Fishing Rochester!
Fishing Rochester is a new web source for local angling information. We will mostly cover an area within a 25 mile radius of Rochester, but will occaisionally venture out of this target area if the info may be interesting to our readers. All of the information will be portrayed as accurate as possible but please remember that we do this for fun.
The ice is getting thicker and the ice-fishing season is now starting with some of the local reservoirs with enough ice to safely fish on. This is a picture of Willow Creek Reservior taken December 7th, 2006. There was one portable shack on the ice when we visited but we didn't venture out onto the ice to see if it is safe. Please always be cautious and remember "No ice is safe ice!" A good ice spud is highly recommended to be sure.
